The Life Church of Glenview

Meet Our Leadership

Anthony LoCasio

Pastor Anthony LoCascio

Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Pastor Anthony LoCascio has been ministering and preaching since 1999. After an encounter with Jesus at 20 and surrendering a potential career in Chicago theater, Anthony decided to serve the Lord.

From that moment, there’s been no return and no regrets. During his studies at DePaul University, Anthony founded a campus ministry called Apostolic Ministry International. For the following two years, he began to evangelize and grow that ministry which reached hundreds of students in Chicago, IL.

Anthony then became the Youth Pastor of Bartlett United Pentecostal Church and founded SUB30 Youth Ministries in Bartlett, IL. With a burden to reach into local high school and college campuses, and impact young people, Anthony helped start a second College Campus Ministry at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. Having left a godless lifestyle of drugs and alcohol to follow Jesus Christ, Anthony had a burden for teens and young adults walking down a similar road.

Early in his walk with the Lord, Anthony heard the call to reach Chicago Metro with the word of his testimony and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, he and his wife Layna have established TLC, a church with passion and vision to impact the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Layna LoCascio

First lady Layna LoCascio

Layna LoCascio graduated from Jackson College of Ministries with a bachelor’s degree in music. Her main desire is to be the best mother and wife she can be and to win souls to Jesus Christ.

More than anything, Layna wants her children to follow in their footsteps, desiring God with all of their hearts. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi, but was raised traveling the United States while her parents evangelized.

Layna’s parents settled in Wisconsin for several years as Pastors. During her teen-aged years, her family became missionaries to El Salvador (during the civil war) and Guatemala. During this time, she felt a deep calling of God on her life to be in ministry. She knew God was calling her into something deeper than just music. It was a compelling desire to win people to Jesus no matter the cost. God has woven a passion for evangelism into the fabric of her life!

This desire led her to start a Spanish-speaking church in Louisiana in the late 1990s and the church is going strong today. She has traveled to different countries on missions, taught piano lessons and has been the music director for several churches until she met her husband.

For the past 10 years, together they have led a youth ministry and now have become Pastors of TLC. With many laughs and a few tears along the way, they are enjoying being in ministry together, sharing the same deep calling and vision to reach the lost for Jesus Christ.

Michael and Becca Lagle

Youth Pastors Michael and Becca Lagle

Michael grew up in Chicago, in the Mayfair/Jefferson Park area, and Becca grew up in western Illinois, in the Quad Cities area in Silvis. Michael and Becca met in March of 2014, on a blind date set up by Pastor Anthony, who was a mutual friend.

There was an immediate connection, and they soon started dating. After 5 1/2 months, Michael proposed on his birthday, much to Becca’s surprise! They were married on a Florida beach on Valentine’s Day 2015. They moved from Elgin to Mount Prospect, the village in which the church Michael grew up in was founded.

Michael felt a call to youth ministry long before he met Becca. Becca had also spent several years assisting in youth ministry at her church prior to getting married. After assisting in leadership of the youth group, Michael and Becca were named as Youth Pastors in January 2016. At that time, the youth group was called SUB30. On August 19, 2016, the Lagles re-launched the ministry as Generate Student Ministries. God had given the name and vision to Michael about a year earlier.

In the past few years, the group has grown in number and spiritual maturity. Michael and Becca are honored to be serving the church and the kingdom in this capacity –helping young people build and maintain a relationship with Jesus, and in turn, directing them to do the same for others.

Charles and Christina Li

Charles and Christina Li

Charles and Christina are the leaders of Next Steps.

The Li family’s main focus is making disciples of Jesus Christ. A simple understanding of a disciple is one who learns. We feel it is our calling to learn to be like Jesus, and to help others learn. This takes time, dedication, focus, and discipline. It takes study and surrender. It means letting the Spirit of God be in control of all areas, actively seeking and renewing, walking with Jesus as Lord in every way. It means becoming a part of the Body of Christ, and working well on the team. Everyone has a purpose, and can use their time, gifts, talents and abilities to achieve this purpose in the Body of Christ. Whether it be in the church building, meeting in homes, on the job or at school, here or in a foreign land, we can function together to win this world for Jesus. In past churches, they have served in various ministries: prison, nursing home, youth, Sunday school, life groups, music, missions, and often as a whole family, definitely as part of a team, and always with the intent of building the Body for the work of the ministry.

Ben and Rani Nolan

Ben and Rani Nolan: Kidz4Life Ministries

Ben and Rani Nolan are our leaders of Kidz4Life children’s ministry.

Rani and Ben Nolan are honored to serve a leaders of the Kidz4Life children’s ministry at The Life Church and have done so since shortly after moving to the Chicago area in 2011. This, despite the fact that Ben has the mentality of an eight year-old, takes all that Rani has to keep from him from mischief. Prior to moving to the Chicago area, the Nolans were student pastors at Living Way Church in Conroe, Texas for seven years. They have two beautiful daughters, Hadley and Waverly, and one miniature tornado, Grant. When not hard at work decorating, writing lessons, or coaching Bible Quizzing (Rani has been unanimously voted Bible Quizzing Coach of the Universe), Rani spends time volunteering at the children’s school and was previously a high school mathematics teacher. Ben works in finance with shipping companies, but no one is exactly sure what he does, and he does not do a good job explaining it.

They have a passion for children’s ministry to both help incubate relationships with God and prepare children to be followers of Jesus as they grow. With respect to Kidz4Life, the Sunday children’s services are designed to be a fun environment in which children can learn but also have the opportunity for God to touch their lives on a weekly basis. In the Bible Quizzing program, kids memorize hundreds of scriptures every year and compete against other children throughout the country. The ultimate goal of which is hiding God’s precious Word in their hearts that will be used as a compass to guide their steps throughout their lives.
