The Word: Part 2-Spirit & Truth

The Word: Part 2 – Spirit & Truth

Jer 31:33 – “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

New covenant with the law in our hearts making us His people.

Eze 36:25-27 – “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”

John 4:23-24 – “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

What is God looking for? Will He find that in you?

John said that God is looking, searching for someone to show himself a worshipper.

People are in search of truth, in search of something that is outside of the normal, natural realm.

Scientists have found what they call the ‘God particle.’ There are essences, matter and something that keeps matter together. There’s a book called ‘If the Universe is the Answer, Then What’s the Question?’ The natural realm is a mirror image, a physical representation of the spiritual realm.

God created the natural realm through a spiritual process. The spiritual force is unseen. To access this spiritual force, this spiritual realm, one must possess sincerity, genuine seeking of the unseen realm.

When you’re seeking the unseen, when you are convinced that there is something to find in the unseen realm, as you seek it, you exercise faith. Faith propels you into the spiritual world.

Without faith, you can’t get to God

Heb 11:6 – “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

It’s not just us that are seeking. God is seeking us! The two are brought together by faith.

You can have faith blindly. We know that the worlds were framed by the Word of God. Moses wrote the book of Genesis, not Adam. In fact, Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible. God gave a lot of it to him by divine revelation.

We know the worlds were made by the Word of God. Every resource we have was created by God. Natural creation was created by a Spiritual source.

John 1:1 – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Moses said in Genesis, ‘In the beginning was God.’ We have to piece these things together.

John 1:1 – can be very confusing, almost suggesting two beings. However, there are many, many scriptures that say that God is one. God is not separate from His Word. God existed as Spirit, but in His Spirit there was an element of creative power that He used to create the world.

Adam was created by the hand and breath of God using the materials He had already spoken into existence.

In the process of faith, we have to believe that God is and that He created all that is.

There is something about truth and the Spirit of God. God wants to get inside of your life through the means of faith and the Word of God.

When you receive the Word of God, it is powerful, precious, and important

Why is receiving the Word of God so important? How will your life change as you receive God’s Word? What changes do you want to see? What changes do you need to make in order to receive God’s Word?

1 Peter 2:2 – “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”

As you seek the truth, Truth is seeking you!

John 14:17 – “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Truth has a Spirit. People can’t see it because they don’t believe it.

Truth is to be a part of the internal essence of who you are. God wants to be in the midst of your thoughts. He wants to be a Savior and a Deliverer on the inside of your heart. This is the plan, purpose, and desire of God.

Jer 31:31 – “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:”

This is a very good argument for a New Testament.

Jer 31:32-34 – “Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

We cannot receive the Word in us without receiving His Spirit in us. In order to get the Word in us, we need the Spirit, that’s how you receive the Word. The Spirit comes in by faith, faith in the Word. Faith is the connector, this magnetic force.

John 16:13 – “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

God will put something in you that will guide you and will cause you to walk in His Spirit, in truth. God downloads a program into this machine called you. This program talks to you, like Jarvis for Tony Stark. It’s a program called the Spirit of God that leads you and guides you into the Word.

Are you willing to set aside your own preconceived ideas and listen to the Spirit as He guides you into the Word and causes transformation in your life? What preconceived ideas do you need to let go?

You’ve got to understand your purpose in this life

It’s all about His Word being manifest in this world today.

John 1:14 – “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

The Lord, God Almighty, walked the earth in the body of Jesus Christ.

1 Tim 3:16 – “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

We needed somebody to come to mediate between God and man. Jesus brought us together back to His Word.

Jesus came on the earth as the Word made flesh. He promised us that He would not just be with us, but He would be in us through His Spirit.

The whole purpose of mankind is to be like Jesus. The Word needs to be made flesh through YOU now! Our purpose is to reveal the Word of God through the Spirit dwelling in us.

What do you think of this miracle of revealing Jesus to the world through you?

The Word is a supernatural power. The Word must be activated by the Spirit so it can transform us to be like God intended when He created us.

As a mature ministering man, Jesus’ character, His thoughts, His actions, His words, were all because of that Spirit inside of Him. Now, His character, His nature, His thoughts, His actions, His Word should be seen in us.

Rom 1:16-17 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’”

Faith is a way of life, a lifestyle revealing Jesus, the Word, to the world, so the Spirit of God can be known and felt in the world. That Word is transformation power. The Word is a goad, a kick, a whip, that keeps you in line. We are justified by His Word.

In manuscripts, there are different ways of justifying text, left justified, right justified, center justified, etc. When we are justified, we are acting the way Jesus did. The Word still heals the sick, the Word in you! Jesus that is in you that gives you the power to be healed, delivered, set free.

There is emotion, it’s not sterile, not just obedience to the Word. The faith that we need, it’s necessary to experience the Word of God. Faith is that pipe through which the Spirit flows through. Faith channels things from heaven to the earth. There would have been no boat without the faith in Noah.

For Noah, life became him working as a carpenter. He acted out of faith.

Sometimes, the pipe gets clogged. Just like the toilet gets clogged, it’s gross and dirty. Sometimes, you need a new plunger. God will plunge stuff out of your system. God’s Spirit and His Word can’t get in because you’ve got a clog in your system. You need to allow God to plunge you. Allow the faith plunger to work so the pipes can get cleaned out so you can get what God wants into your spirit.

Your purpose is so the Word can be revealed in the earth

God wants to serve you. God wants to get into your life in such a way that He can fix it, deliver it, change it. So, if you allow Him to come in, He’ll deliver you. He wants to make Himself known as a loving Savior and Deliverer. Only through faith will that happen. When you allow this, you’ll see Him work mighty things in you to show Himself, desiring to serve you and everyone around you.

If God can get into your life through faith, then you can have a relationship with Him and display Him, that Word.

God wants to show that He is Deliverer and Savior.

Will you allow Him into your life through faith? Will you allow Him to show the world His love through you?

He is a God that wants to show you His help and deliverance for you and through you. Jesus did good everywhere He went. He served and loved in everything He did and said. Even when He cast out devils it was for the sake of souls. Even when He rebuked, it was to call those who were not walking in love, to repent and receive the Truth.

The moment you say no to Him, that Spirit withdraws, but when you change your mind, just like the Prodigal, He comes back, at a run.

Spirit and Truth

Isaiah 43:21 – “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.”

God wants to make His character and nature known in the earth. When you align with the Word, you make Him known in the earth, you act according to your purpose for existence. Jesus wants to perform mighty acts of salvation for you and through you.

There was a seer who came to warn a king to lean on and trust God. In Old Testament times, the enemy would gather and take over. The king trusted God but then began to turn away.

2 Chron 16:9 – “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.”

God is looking for someone to deliver, someone in whom He can show Himself strong

Eph 1:13 – “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,”

If you will hear, trust and obey the Word, the power of God is coming for you. Jesus is looking to show His saving power to anyone who is looking for Him.

Do you believe that Jesus wants this for you? How does your day to day life express that? What needs to change?

You’ve got to align with the Word. As you do, your life will change in miraculous ways.
